In May 2007, AIAC (Académie Internationale Mohammed VI de l’Aviation Civile), FSA (Faculté des Sciences d'Agadir), ENIT (Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes) University of le Havre, INSA-Rouen (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rouen) and OFPPT (Office de la Formation Professionnelle et de la Promotion du Travail) organized an international symposium ACMA2007 in Agadir-Morocco to mark the opening of the newly extended Aircraft materials: Damage and fatigue diagnostics. A group of national and international speakers presented their views and works on various topics such as Fatigue design, NDT, thermoplasticmaterials, braiding, performing technologies, RTM and other liquid resin infusion technologies.

Delegates remarked that the symposium lived up to their expectation, providing a good mix between general information and technical details. The large attendance and positive feedback from the delegates was very rewarding and therefore it was decided to organize a second ACMA 2008 in Agadir-Morocco. An equally successful event was hosted in Marrakech in 2010, Fez in 2012, and Marrakech in 2014 with an attendance of more than 250 participants from all over the world and more than 200 speakers from various industries, research institutes and universities. The sixteenth edition of this symposium ACMA, Will be held once again in Agadir (Morocco) on May 11-13, 2016.

ACMA is one of the leading events in North Africa in the Technical and Scientific Conference Calendar, Whilst Metals and Polymer Composites are strong themes, ACMA 2016 will focus also on Nano-materials and nano-composite Materials and Technologies. New aircraft materials are developed or selected to meet the design, performance, quality, and cost effective criteria required. Special sessions will be reserved to Aerospace and TelecomTechnology.
